The Patti Labelle Pie is sold out EVERYWHERE! But, thanks to our friends on Ebay, you may still have a chance to see what all the hype is about.
Walmart reported that sales shot up to over $2.3 Mil in one weekend following a video post that went viral, from YouTuber, James Wright Chanel. They also said they sold 1 pie..... every second..... for 3 DAYS STRAIGHT. I would say Mr. JWC has definitely revolutionized the social media marketing industry.

None the less, people all over the country have taken this opportunity to exercise the number one rule in business...... Supply and Demand! They are marketed at about $3.50 at Walmart, but I've seen ads with ridiculous price tags of anywhere from $30 to the $3, 698 price tag I've seen on Ebay.
I myself have tried to find one! My grandma is a huge Patti Labelle fan. She even used to dress like her back in the day. Can you imagine me dragging my grandmother to 3 different stores only to keep being told "we are sold out." Oh the laugh attacks we had, just looking around and listening to the hundreds of people that kept going up to Walmart employees asking for this Patti Pie! This review was like a drug and everybody needed a hit. KMSL! Then, I log on to my social media pages and people are trying to sell them with the caption, "They are sold out in stores"..... I wonder why? It wouldn't happen to be because you bought all 50 of them right? LOL!!
Side note, I love how this story has a happy ending for all parties involved. Social media was in an uproar after a TMZ video surfaced of Ms. Labelle basically stating her pies were selling out before James Wright Chanel did his wonderful video. A lot of people felt like she should have admitted that the video did actually play a part in the recent spike in sales. I personally think people shouldn't play into this, because its only another way to divide people.
It appears JWC was not offended in any way and I could not help noticing how humble and sweet Ms. Labelle sounded in the video. I think she wanted to thank him, but she wanted the world to also recognize her hard work. Doors are opening for him that surpasses such a notion anyway. He has recently gotten calls from BIG industry people such as Ms. Labelle herself and Jamie Foxx. Comedian Mike Epps also did a tribute to his video by reenacting it on his personal social media page. He has gotten tremendous exposure and she has gotten richer! lol Seriously, In my eyes, they are both winning and in the words of Queen Bey, we should just "let them have their moment."
